What inspired you to launch a fund focused on e-mobility and infrastructure?

“E-mobility and infrastructure are essential if we are to protect our planet and ensure we do not cross planetary boundaries. The shift to zero-emission logistics is critical in building a sustainable world. We saw an opportunity to address the funding gap in this area, enabling businesses and infrastructure to scale at the pace required. This is a challenge we want to tackle because it aligns with our responsibility to future generations.”

How large is the funding gap in zero-emission logistics?

“The identified funding gap in zero-emission logistics is substantial—up to €120 billion across Europe by 2050, with €20 billion of that in the Netherlands alone. This is a vast need, but it also presents an opportunity to drive impactful change. While no single fund can address the entire gap, our targeted investments aim to make a meaningful contribution in this transition.”

What role does private debt play in closing this gap?

“Private debt plays an important role in closing the funding gap. It offers companies the capital needed to invest in zero-emission assets and infrastructure without diluting ownership. Importantly, private debt can be tailored to match the depreciation period of the financed assets, ensuring that repayments align with the lifecycle of the investments. This makes it an efficient and flexible solution for businesses looking to scale sustainably.”

We are currently informing interested investors through knowledge sharing sessions about the latest market developments and the opportunities available to drive acceleration and create impact. The demand for tailored financing solutions in this sector is clear, and we’re focused on converting these leads into impactful investments. This is just the beginning, and we’re confident that the fund will play a key role in accelerating zero-emission logistics."
